6th Balkan ARDF Championship

The city of Zenica (Bosnia and Herzegovina) hosted 6th ARDF Championship of Balkan countries. Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia participated with more than 100 enthusiastic ARDF-ers ranging in the age from 10 to 71 years old. The excellent organization offered by ARABiH and local Radio Club E71EZC gave them the opportunity to meet friends, feel comfortable and compete for the medals. IARU Region 1 Youth ARDF

IARU Region 1 Youth ARDF is being held in Primorsko, Bulgaria. 49 boys and 43 girls from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Russia and Ukraine participated.

Participants are divided in two categories - up to 14 and up to 16 years old. The photos illustrate the starting area, finishing area and awarding ceremony. Results are available on http://www.eyac2011.eu/results.html

15th ARDF Championships in Opatija, Croatia

ARDF 2010On 14 September IARU R1 President Hans Blondeel Timmerman PB2T opened the the 15th ARDF World Championships in Opatija, Croatia. Welcome speeches were held by the president of  the Croatian amateur radio association Zdenko Blažičević 9A2HI and the deputy Mayor of the City of Opatija Ernija Gigante Deškovića. The first day included the first ARDF world championship for blind persons. Almost 500 participants from 35 countries will compete in two runs (Wednesday and Friday). 2010 IARU R1 Youth ARDF Championship

The 2010 IARU R1 Youth ARDF Championship was opened today. 11 countries with 37 boys and 30 girls, all they up to 15 years old, will compete next two days.
